“Really enjoyed the day in the el yunque. The hike isn’t that strenuous, but you do have to walk across slippery rocks and climb over tall rocks, so bring grippy shoes. Mario our tour guide was really helpful giving us a strong hand when needed. He definitely put in work. We got to do two natural slides, a cliff jump, rope swings a couple times, and hang in the cool water- so nice. You can opt out of jump and rope swings if you’re too nervous.”

Once there, you don your hard hat and life jacket and start the trek. The experience is no joke. It is intense and arduous but lots of fun. You get covered in mud, rinse off in the river, climb up rocks, jump off cliffs, and on Saturday, scramble down a mud cliff. The guides took pictures through it all so we have a great memento of the day. Highly recommend this experience for hardy and adventurous travelers!”
